Holy cow, what a trip!!! Well after about a week of packing, moving, and now unpacking I am about ready to kill over. We (basically meaning Patrick) drove a 45 foot U-Haul from KC to Milwaukee, via Omaha, over 700 miles. We arrived here safely, but not even 24 hours after we arrived in the city our ED had the truck in North Milwaukee and it broke down. Phew, at least we didn't get stranded somewhere in Iowa!! Now we are trying to learn the city, unpack all the shit we own, and prepare ourselves to start school in a few weeks.
Last night, my Mom's cousins had me and my two roommates over for dinner, I forgot to tell them I was a vegetarian and there was definitely no vegetarian food. I didn't want to be rude or make them feel bad, so I did it. My first meat experience back was a fat ol' bratwurst. Man was it good, but my stomach is churning. Even though I ate it, I don't think I will be eating much meat still.
